After a new Collection has been created, you’re ready to upload photos for AI processing.
To start your upload, you’ll need our companion desktop app, the MediaViz Photo Uploader. This desktop app can be downloaded from your User Account settings. The MediaViz Photo Uploader makes it easy to upload photos from your local operating system (available for macOS and Windows).
Once you have the MediaViz Photo Uploader downloaded, follow these simple steps to upload your first collection:
- Click into the empty collection you created
- Click the “Open Desktop” button on the right side of screen. You may have to log into the Photo Uploader using your credentials, and you may have to refresh the Photo Uploader for your Collection to show.
- In the Photo Uploader, click the three dots that accompany the Collection you would like to upload to. Choose “Select Folder.”
- Find the folder of images you would like to upload. Please note that this folder must be uploaded directly from your computer rather than a hard drive or Cloud storage. If your photos are on an external drive, they will need to be downloaded directly to your computer before uploading to MediaViz AI. Choose the folder, allow the system to open the file, and start your upload.
- While the images are uploading, our analysis is already beginning. Unlike traditional systems, the upload and analysis are able to happen in parallel for the fastest experience possible. Once your photos are uploaded, you can find them in the main collections screen. Now it’s time to view your Collection.
